How often does a grease trap need pumping?
Most kitchens run on a monthly or quarterly cycle, and many jurisdictions expect a trap to be serviced before it reaches a quarter full of grease and solids. Volume of fryer work matters more than seating capacity. We will set an interval from what we actually pull out of yours on the first two visits.
Will you shut my kitchen down to do it?
No. Grease trap service is scheduled before service opens or after close. That is the whole point of putting it on a route rather than calling it in when the trap backs up mid-dinner.
Do I get paperwork for inspections?
Yes. Every visit gets a written service record — date, volume removed and condition — kept on file so you can produce it when someone asks.
Do you clean the line as well as the trap?
Yes, and it matters. Pumping the trap does nothing for the grease already coating the line downstream of it. We hydro jet that line so the trap is not just refilling a pipe that is already narrowing.
