Questions people actually ask
Straight answers, before you book.
Prices, timing, and what is genuinely worth doing yourself. If the answer you need is not here, call (505) 398-1916.
Getting someone out
How fast can you get here?
Same day in most of San Juan County, and we run emergency drain work around the clock including weekends and holidays. You get an arrival window on the call rather than "sometime today" — local trucks, so nobody is driving in from another county.
Do you take emergency calls at 2am?
Yes. Sewage on a floor is not a next-business-day problem. Emergency pricing is the same at 2am as it is at 2pm — we do not use the hour against you.
Which areas do you serve?
Farmington, Bloomfield, Aztec, Flora Vista, Kirtland, Shiprock — effectively all of San Juan County, New Mexico.
What it costs
What does a drain cleaning cost?
$99 flat for one residential drain with an accessible cleanout during normal business hours, and that includes a camera inspection and a 12-month no-reclog warranty on that drain. Additional drains are billed separately, and there are extra charges if we have to pull a fixture or go through the roof for access. You hear all of it before we start, not on the invoice afterwards.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. You get the price before the work starts, and the things that could change it are named up front rather than discovered later.
What happens after the job?
You see the camera footage at the same moment we do, and you can have a copy. The drain we clear carries a 12-month no-reclog warranty. If it backs up again inside that year on the same line, we come back.
Snaking, jetting and what is actually wrong
Should I choose snaking or hydro jetting?
A cable machine bores a hole through the blockage so water flows again — fast, and often the right call for a one-off clog. Hydro jetting scours the pipe wall back to its full diameter. If a drain clogs every few months, a cable is treating the symptom and jetting removes the cause.
What is hydro jetting?
High-pressure water, up to 4,000 PSI in our case, through a nozzle that fires backwards as well as forwards. The rear jets drive the hose up the line while the stream strips the pipe wall. What comes out is the grease, scale and sludge a cable left behind.
Do you use chemicals?
No. Caustic drain chemicals sit against the blockage and attack the pipe as much as the clog, and they make the line genuinely dangerous for the next person to open. We clear mechanically and show you what was in there.
When is a clog a job for a professional?
When more than one fixture backs up at once, when it comes back within a few weeks, when there is sewage rather than water, or when a plunger and a hand auger have already failed. Those four all point at the main line rather than the fixture.
Can I handle it myself?
Often, for a single slow sink or tub. A plunger, a hand auger and hot water fix a lot. What is worth avoiding is chemical drain opener and anything that involves forcing a powered cable into a line you cannot see — a cable will punch through a pipe wall as happily as through a clog.
Keeping it from happening again
Do you offer preventative maintenance?
Yes. Commercial kitchens, rentals and properties with a history of root intrusion are the ones it genuinely pays for, and we set the interval from what we actually pull out of your line rather than from a generic schedule.
Do you pump septic tanks?
Yes, with our own brand-new vacuum truck. That means a clean tank on every job, modern vacuum equipment and metered volumes that are measured and written down rather than estimated.
Will you show me what was actually wrong?
Always. A camera goes down the line and you watch the footage live. Nobody should be told their sewer line needs replacing without being shown why.
